Many are unaware that Toronto had an electric railway. It began in 1889 with railway lines running north on Yonge Street to Sutton, from the east end of Toronto to West Hill and from the west of Toronto to Guelph, to name a few. The last train ran until 1948. But today, visitors to the Halton County Radial Railway can relive the trains' former glory with rides aboard a variety of restored street cars. There is also a display, snack bar and gift shop. The facilites are available for birthday parties, company picnics, family reunions, movie location, school field trips and wedding photos. Address: P.O. Box 578 Milton ON L9T 5A2
